Night Light Films produces movies in the world’s finest quality High Definition.
On the set, the Sony CineAlta or RED cameras captures 24 frames per second at 1080P, 2k or 4k. This means a picture quality that is equivalent to the picture quality associated with 24-frame 35mm film.
In the studio the Sony SRW-5000 CineAlta VTR is used for the mastering process. The SRW – 5000 CineAlta is the worlds most advanced deck and uses the HDCAMSR standard of tape, allowing up to 4:4:4 12 bit picture and 12 channels of 48k 24 bit audio. This provides a super high quality, 100% digital workflow.
Night Light Films uses the latest technology and equipment in the production, postproduction and mastering process.
Understanding the problems associated with independent film making and distribution, Night Light Films guarantees the quality of it’s movies. All movies go through an extensive QC process from Ascent Media, a leader in post production and international servicing.
Utilizing the above technology simplifies the International Program Exchange by minimizing the need for standards conversion. If a specific conversion is needed this technology allows for a high quality conversion that eliminates all the problems that were introduced in the past when converting PAL from NTSC and vice versa.
Night Light films guarantees Quality Control. All films go through a rigorous 4 Channel Mastering Quality Control at ASCENT MEDIA, the worlds second largest post production facility. We guarantee the quality of our films and take pride in the process. There are many advantages to utilizing High Definition. One of the main benefits is simplifying International Program Exchange by minimizing the need for standards conversion. In the event that a conversion is necessary, the High Definition standard is easy to convert and a much cleaner than a conversion from PAL or NTSC. This minizes any problems that might arise from a typical standards conversion
